3 days Mikumi & Udzungwa Mountains Safari In Southern Tanzania, on the north-west side of Selous Game Reserve, lie two small, quite offbeat national parks Mikumi National Park and Udzungwa Mountains National Park
The Udzungwa Mountain National Park, which is 1990 sq. km. Is the first terrestrial National park in Tanzania. It is well known for its biologically diverse forest, with approximately 20 – 30% out of 200 animals and plant species that grow here not found anywhere in the world.
The habitats contained within the national park include tropical rainforest, mountain forest, miombo woodland. Still, it is a really beautiful place for hiking. It is one of the top ten forests for bird conservation in Africa.
A variety of animal species can be found here, including water buffalo, elephants, and full of reptiles and snakes, and more.

After breakfast drive to Mikumi National Park which is approximately 5 hours drive from Dar es Salaam. Hot lunch at Morogoro Town, thereafter afternoon game drives in Mikumi National Park. Mikumi National Park is Tanzania's fourth-largest National Park and the most accessible from Dar es Salaam. Within its 3230 sq. km it is set between the Uluguru Mountains to the north and the Lumango Mountains to the south-east. Mikumi hosts buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, lions, pythons zebras, leopards, crocodiles, and Hippos just to mention a few. Dinner and overnight at Camp Bastian Mikumi outside of the park
After breakfast you will leave the camp and start your safari towards the Udzungwa mountains for a day of Hiking. Upon arrival you will meet our guide/rangers who will accompany you on the hiking tour. Udzungwa Mountains National Park is well known for its excellent hiking, trekking, mountain climbing, and forest walks. The most popular hiking tour is up to the Sanje waterfalls, looking for monkeys, swimming in plunge pools, and enjoying the spectacular view while enjoying a picnic lunch. After your hiking tour you will descend the mountains and join your driver to start your journey back to Mikumi for dinner and your overnight stay.
After breakfast you will check out and begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam. The journey back will includes lunch boxes. You will arrive back in Dar es Salaam where you will be dropped off at the airport or back at the hotel. This is where your safari will end.
