Day Trip to Selous game reserve from Zanzibar you will Pick up upon your arrival at Mtemere Airstrip, you will be greeted by our Driver and Guide and proceed to your full-day Game Drive.
Selous Game Reserve or Nyerere National Park is an immense area of protected wilderness that has remained unused for thousands of years, explore this park on a day trip starting from Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam by flight direct to Mtemere Airstrip.
The Selous is the largest game reserve and one of the favourite game viewing areas in Africa. Covering a total area of about 54,600 km2 (21,081 sq. miles), almost 6% of Tanzania’s land surface, is amongst the largest protected wet wilderness areas in Africa, Nyerere National Park is located in the South of Tanzania and four times the size of Serengeti.
The Selous Game Reserve is the size of Switzerland. A large area of the reserve is drained by the Rufiji River. The topography of the park varies from rolling savannah woodland, grassland plain, and rocky outcrops cut by the Rufiji River and its tributaries.
You can expect to watch elephants, buffaloes, wildebeests, eland, giraffes, waterbuck, zebra, impala, a lot of hippos, crocodiles and often even leopards and the pride of a lion. There are also about 350 species of birdlife to be discovered.
For Lunch, you will enjoy a bush lunch. Your day will be filled with exploring the park’s wildlife from the seat of an open-sided or open-roofed vehicle.
Our driver will drop you back at the airstrip at 15:h30 for your departure to Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar.

Upon arrival at Stiegler's Airstrip, you will be met by Driver Guide and proceed with packed Lunch for full day game drive. Your day will be filled with exploring the park’s wildlife from your seat on an open-sided or open-roofed vehicle. This comfortable and privileged journey through the wild African bush is a chance of a lifetime! You can expect to see many of the African mammals, including elephant, giraffe, lion, buffalo, zebra, and even the rare African wild dog
Yes, this is sharing the trip, we accumulated groups of clients since we have a minimum number of 10 pax then ready to Go.
No, this is a scheduled trip, in case we don't have minimum pax we extend the next day
Clients should pay a 10% deposit after confirmation, in case the trips are canceled because of the low number of clients we have either we can refund you back or extend to another day.
